Stars: Amy and Bobby
Location: Pantego Bible Church, Arlington, Tx
Highlights: To say that I work with the most amazing brides is an incredible understatement. Working with Amy on the planning side of things has been nothing buy joy. From the first moment we sat down to talk about her wedding, I could see how much of her heart she put into her day and how much she wanted the emotion of the day documented. She wanted to remember the laughter, the sweetness and the love.
Two of my favorite photos from this set are of the first moments Amy and Bobby see each other in the ceremony. The look on her face is one of utmost respect. The look on his face is pure adoration- you can just feel the pride beaming from his face that this beautiful woman is his bride and his wife forever. They are just happy.
While there were tons of amazing details, my absolute favorite wasn’t something tangible. It was a song. During their ceremony, Amy’s dad brought out his guitar and sang the two a worship song. It was a gift to his daughter, one to remind these two of the importance of their faith. Their reception was extremely thoughtful. Instead of toasts, family and friends came up and gave a blessing to the newlyweds. I can’t imagine a better send-off before the two departed.
If I may, an additional blessing:
Those that truly love, have roots that grow towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom have fallen from their branches, they find that they are one tree and not two. -excerpt from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis De Bernieres
May God bless you today and tens of thousands of tomorrows.
